    Through weekly discussion prompts, members examine thought‑provoking questions such as free will, morality, and personal responsibility. The club also explores classic thought experiments, analyzes philosophical quotes, and engages in mini debates and open discussions that help students articulate their ideas and understand differing viewpoints.

  • Paleontology Club

    The Paleontology Club explores the history of life on Earth through the study of fossils, and the mysteries of ancient organisms, and what paleontological discoveries reveal about where we all come from — as well as the questions that science has yet to answer.

    Topics include the history of the Earth, evolution, fossilization processes, fossil sites around the world, remarkable discoveries, influential paleontologists, and emerging ideas such as the possibility of reviving extinct species.

    The club goal is to highlight the importance of paleontology as a science and its impact on our understanding of life, biodiversity, and society. The Paleontology Club is designed for anyone curious about Earth’s deep past and the stories written in stone.

  • Fashion History Club

    The Fashion History Club explores how fashion has evolved over time and what clothing trends reveal about society, culture, and identity.     Dance & Connect is a space for anyone who enjoys dance — from dedicated dancers to those who simply appreciate the art form.     The Language Club offers students the opportunity to explore and learn languages from around the world through dedicated chat spaces led by student ambassadors. Each language has its own group — including Turkish, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and more — allowing learners to focus on the language that interests them most.

    Within each chat, ambassadors introduce essential vocabulary, useful expressions, cultural insights, and simple conversational phrases. The club is designed to be beginner‑friendly and accessible to all levels, encouraging students to learn at their own pace while engaging with authentic language use.

    The Culture Club explores culture in a modern, dynamic way — from traditions and identity to contemporary youth culture, music, language, and global digital trends. Each week features a themed discussion that encourages thoughtful conversation and cross‑cultural exchange. The club is designed for students who enjoy learning about different perspectives, comparing cultural experiences, and connecting with others around the world.

Student Expectations

To participate in extracurricular activities, students must be in good academic standing & comply with all behavioral expectations.

Students are expected to:

    • Avoid using offensive, vulgar, or discriminatory language.

    • Use a respectful and friendly tone when posting or communicating.

    • Use humor with care and understand that in online environments, sarcasm and joking may not come across as intended.

    • Avoid sharing any content that may be considered offensive or inappropriate in a school environment.

    • Never take or post images of themselves or others unless all parties have given consent, and the facilitator has approved the post.

    • Do not share personal information about yourself or others without consent.

    • Only share content that is your own.

    • Use social media and other platforms with discretion.

    • Do not share links to video conferences, passwords, or login information with anyone except the student’s parent, guardian, or Learning Coach.

    • Treat all members with respect, even if you disagree with their opinions.

    • Avoid personal attacks, harassment, name-calling, disruptive behavior, and offensive language.

    • Respect diversity and the global nature of the student body.

    • Report anything inappropriate immediately to the teacher, parent, guardian, and/or Learning Coach.

    • Comply with any additional expectations set by the Hudson Global Community facilitators.

    • Exercise discretion and sensitivity when discussing politically sensitive topics to foster respect and harmony.
