Science offers its own marvels: water, subjected to just the proper amount of pressure, can simultaneously boil and freeze-a strange occurrence called "the triple point." And along these lines of inversions, turtles can sustain life underwater longer than porpoises do, by lowering their heartbeat to remain underwater for up to forty minutes.
All of these fun facts serve to illustrate just how amazing and diverse our world truly is, much more so than it would seem. Continents are lush with life in even the most desolate places; animals possess incredible powers. So many mysteries are yet to be uncovered!
